ABSTRACT
After 20 years of good performance in field trials and commercial utilization in a wide variety of applications and environments, sulfur concrete (SC) developed in Canada is currently being considered for major projects in a number of countries. Its attractive properties include impermeability, extreme corrosion resistance, lack of fatigue, and rapid strength development. These characteristics, together with a proven performance record and ability to be placed at very high and very low ambient temperatures, have led to a steady growth in its use. Mix preparation and application require relatively minor modifications to standard, commercially available equipment.
